How we make the shapes

Alpha Standard i.Q. Test is a free sitting of forty-four wordless picture puzzles: eleven on each of four wheels, easiest first, plus two check items. The method under it is drawn from the house sourcebook — The Living Veca Symmetry Codex — so the test is not a random quiz pasted on a brand. It is a short spiral the Codex already teaches: Seed, Spiral, Octave, Return.

Drawn from the Living Veca Symmetry Codex

The Codex holds a Krystal Veca field: geometry, number, tone, colour, and return as one creative system. A creation is strongest when its inner pattern is built into structure, made perceptible in demonstration, and felt in expression. The sitting follows that cycle in miniature.

We do not paste Veca symbols on top of a test. We let the sitting behave like the Codex: inner pattern → visible climb → felt return.

The Spectrum Method

Each item is grown from a small set of visual rules — the craft line of progressive matrices and modern cognitive item design: shape, count, orientation, size, fill; rules across row and column; harder items where shapes overlap or the rule is what is present versus missing. Difficulty rises when you hold more rules, when elements are harder to name, and when the pattern is quieter.

Cutting edge for us means: rule map from the Codex stance, answers only on the server, and an elapsed clock that ticks without a cutoff. Time is shown, never scored: the figure comes only from your answers. Every puzzle is checked by a rule solver to have exactly one answer, and the six choices are built so that no answer can be found by comparing the choices with each other.

How the score is read

Skipping is better than guessing wrong. If a question doesn’t look right, or seems to have no correct answer, tap Skip. Spotting that is part of the test.

Each of the forty-four puzzles scores 1 point when right, nothing when you tap Skip, and takes off a quarter point when wrong. That is a standard guessing correction: with six choices, a blind guess now loses a little on average, so an honest Skip always beats a guess. Two of the screens are check items that have no correct answer: tapping Skip on those counts as the right response (1 point), and choosing any picture counts as wrong (minus a quarter). If a picture is chosen on every check item, the result notes possible guessing and shows a wider range.

That corrected score is read off a provisional scale (mean 100, SD 15): you see the i.Q. figure, how it compares (“higher than about X% of people”) and a likely range, because one sitting can move a few points either way. The scale runs from below 70 to 135+. Forty-four items cannot honestly separate scores beyond that. An estimate from 44 shape puzzles, taken online and unsupervised. The scale is provisional and not yet normed on enough sittings. Not a clinical result, and not a Mensa or any society's qualifying score.

Colour instead of numbers

The Codex already climbs colour (root through crown, with a heart return). For the public sitting we use a five-band house spectrum people can hold in the body — Yellow → Green → Blue → Purple → Indigo. Eight shapes in each band. Purple is our shop colour, so the middle of the climb feels like home.

Yellow · SeedOne quiet rule — see the turn
Green · Heart hingeTwo rules meeting — hold both
Blue · Throat of the fieldRules across the field — keep the whole
Purple · HouseOverlap & unfamiliar shapes — name what hides
Indigo · Deep eyePresence & absence — the deep edge before return

What we are (and are not)

This is a house sitting: a provisional i.Q. estimate with its likely range on screen, not a clinical diagnosis and not a paywall before the score. The Living Veca Symmetry Codex is the deeper sourcebook (geometry, tone, rays, return). The free test is the public spiral anyone can walk. Optional paid upgrades and the Codex product sit beside it — never as a hostage for your result.

One sentence you can share

Alpha Standard grows forty-four shape puzzles from stacked visual rules, drawn through the Living Veca Symmetry Codex as Seed → Spiral → colour octave → Return, remembered as Yellow–Green–Blue–Purple–Indigo, with answers off the page and time that ticks without a cutoff.
